New York Fashion Public Relations

The following is a list of NY fashion public relations firms and some of their current or recent past fashion clients. The client lists are most informative because they give users an idea of the type of clients each agency is attracting. It is very difficult to stay current with listings since switching of agencies by accounts is very common. Also, some designers use more than one PR firm - one for press or "the front of the house", and another for show production or "the back of house." Other designers run their own public relations "in house," and occasionally hire a PR firm for special events or for additional logistical support. Some firms may not currently be representing any fashion clients, but they are recognized by the industry as important "players".

This legendary firm founded in the early 1980's was started by the late Vogue editor Kezia Keeble, her late husband John Duka, and ex-husband Paul Cavaco - who is no longer with the firm ( see our profile on him). Kezia was also credited with discovering both photographers Steven Meisel and Bruce Webber. KCD is today still a very savvy and powerful firm. With the deaths of both Kezia Keeble and John Duka, the firm is now run by two long time agency regulars Ed Filipowski and Julie Mannion - representing a stable of great clients. They also work quietly, behind the scenes, with a number of other clients.
clients have included: Helmut Lang, Marc Jacobs, Marc, Daryl K, Victoria's Secret, Versus by Versace, Anna Sui among many others.
