M’s System, Ltd: The
eight-year-old Japanese company has created the world’s first one-piece
stereo speaker system that produces superior acoustics, the Wave Speaker. Its
unique cylindrical housing is small and lightweight (only sixteen inches long
and eight inches in diameter). The speaker has been compared to a musical
instrument and its sound quality is said to be “hauntingly
beautiful.” It does not require any special installation or audio space.
The Wave speaker is currently on display as part of the Japan C exhibit in New
York City.

Watches

Timex: According to
Timex trend director, Amy E. Goodman, two of the major style directions in
watches for fall are jewelry inspired designs and men’s watches for women.
These new Timex watches have classical styling and elegant accents at very
affordable prices. The women’s Crystal Watch (T2M 842 9J) is adorned with
28 Swarovski Crystals and its gold chain link bracelet is self-adjusting. The
men’s watch (T2M 810) has a neutral colored, leather band, and its bright
blue face is not too large, so that it won’t overpower a woman’s
wrist.
