Re-introducing our column of finds in
and around New York. Edited by Rhonda Erb...
Retail:
Pring Paris shoes are at once elegant and whimsical
and seem tailor made for the red carpet, or at the very least a night on the
town. The distinctive styles of Paris based designer Pring Chindahporn are hand
crafted using luxurious materials like snakeskin, velvet, and patent leather.
The colors range from rich jewel tones to cream and dove gray. The shoes are
currently available in the US at select boutiques, but they may soon be coming
to a department store near you.

Fashion Finds:
The Ko-Ket clutch is the perfect accessory for all your
summer garden parties or evening soirées. The elegant lamb and kid skin
bags are the creation of New York designer Ashley Wotiz. They come in eight
different colors (my favorite is the cobalt blue) and each one is adorned with
a removable piece of gold or silver hardware stamped with the Ko-Ket signature
logo. If you are not lucky enough to snag a Ko-Ket clutch at one of Ms.Wotiz's
trunk shows, you can order one directly from her web site.

Online Shopping:

A friend told me about Store Adore,
a new online shopping community that allows you to access information on
retailers in four different US cities: Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and
Washington DC. The web site is the brainchild of Harvard Business School alums
Cristina Miller and Meredith Barnett. The two avid shoppers and life long
friends were frustrated with how difficult it was to find practical shopping
information when visiting a new city. They began compiling their own lists of
boutiques and sharing their finds with friends and Store Adore was born. Store
Adore will be expanding to more cities soon. They welcome all comments and
ideas, so log on.. storeadore.com
Going Green:
Love Is Organic Denim It's never too soon to start
teaching your children to go green. Connecticut moms Kristin Fine and Katie
Stein, owners of the Love children's boutique in Greenwich, make Love Is
Organic Denim jeans just for kids. What is organic denim? It is manufactured
using a natural enzyme process that is eco-friendly and yields an incredibly
soft fabric. The styles have a comfortable fit, with adjustable waists and no
annoying tags. They come in sizes one to twelve years and every garment comes
with an organic denim patch that can be used to decorate or extend the life of
the jeans. loveisorganicdenim.com
